Information regarding the YHS Graduation:

What: Provide graduation music for the seniors of YHS!!
Date: Saturday, June 27, 2009
Place: SUNY Purchase
Time: Arrive at the YHS band room by 11:00 A Bus will take us to SUNY Purchase, the ceremony is at 1:00PM. The bus will also take us back to YHS afterwards. We should be back to YHS by 3:30.
Attire: Please dress “nicely” (no jeans, t-shirts, or sneakers).

It’s that time of year again! We invite all band members to attend our annual Memorial Day BBQ right after we march in the parade for good food, plentiful laughs and more! To find out more information about the parade, please see this PDF containing dress, time and location info for both the march and the BBQ.

In addition, we ask that all parents sign up to bring something for our BBQ at our registration site.

This fall, students from the YHS band program have been selected to participate in the Westchester County School Music Association (WCSMA) Area All-Sate Festival. Our young musicians were among the highest scoring students in the county at last year’s NYSSMA solo festival, and will represent Yorktown this November as they join other top student-musicians in the Festival Band and Orchestra.
