Our annual Music Boosters Tag Sale is back again this year! Please save your stuff to donate. Our sale is Saturday 10/22 from 9am-2pm at YHS. We will be accepting donations on Friday 10/21 from 3-7pm. Tell your friends and neighbors! Parent and student volunteers will be needed to make this event a success. Look for an e-mail in the coming weeks to find out how you can help. A flyer is attached.
Many thanks to the 30 YHS Band students who turned out on Friday night to cheer on our Varsity Football team. Although the game was a tough loss, we did our best to offer our enthusiastic musical support!
Our next home game performance will be Friday 9/30 vs. Nyack. Report time is 5:30. Game 7-9:30pm. Please join us!
On Sunday, many of our YHS Band students enjoyed a fun apple picking trip to Wilken’s! Students enjoyed apples, cider and donuts, and priceless Band Family memories. Many thanks to the farm staff and to our band parents who help make this annual tradition possible!
Auditions will take place this Wednesday 9/21 from 1:35 – 3:00. Requirements and sign-ups are available in the Band room. Weekly rehearsals will begin Thursday 9/29, 6:50-8:30pm. Returning Jazz Band students do not need to audition, but are required to attend the meeting at 1:35 on 9/21.
Offered weekly and hosted by our junior and senior band members (thank you!). Students who lead or attend a session receive 1 point of extra credit. Sessions are held period 9, unless noted otherwise. Ms. Kluga is also always available for help by appointment.

Our country’s premier military band is touring the Northeast! Concert is Saturday 10/9, 3-5pm at John Jay HS in Hopewell Junction, NY. Ms. Kluga is planning to attend with her family – hope to see you and your family there! Reserve your free tickets here.
