Again this year, the YHS Band program is sponsoring a needy child for the holidays. His name is Arden and he is 10 years old. Using part of the funds we have raised through our tag sale and citrus sale, the Band Officers will purchase items from his list to Santa. If you are interested in donating additional items, please contact me. Arden wears a size 4 children’s shoe, and size 12-14 shirt/pants. We are interested in all clothing items (pj’s, outfits, socks, and shoes), and a few toys. Arden particularly likes airplanes. All items are needed by Monday 12/6.
The First Nighters is a parent group whose mission is to support our YCSD Performing Arts programs. Their sponsorship form is attached.

Using the music for our upcoming winter concert, students will demonstrate the musical concepts we have been studying so far this year: performing the correct notes and rhythms at a steady tempo, playing with good posture, using dynamics, and using correct articulation.
This assignment is due Sunday 11/28. Directions and professional reference recordings are posted on Google Classroom.
You should hear your student practicing at home. Students are also welcome to practice during their lunch/free periods or after school. If your student has questions, Ms. Kluga would love to help! Please have them see me for an appointment.
