The Greater Westchester Youth Orchestra Association is a local audition-only symphony orchestra (strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion). It is a wonderful opportunity to grow as a musician, learn advanced repertoire, and perform alongside other dedicated and aspiring music students. A flyer with audition information is attached. Contact Ms. Kluga with questions.
Again this year, the First Nighters will honor our Performing Arts Seniors by hosting a photo session with Bob Castner. Please save the date of Saturday, May 22nd. Each session will be 15 minutes and take place outside YHS.
Pictures will be available for viewing and purchase on Bob Castner’s website, and each senior will be highlighted on Twitter. Band students, please wear concert black for your photo, hold your instrument, and wear your senior pin (which Ms. Kluga will give to you soon).
Be on the lookout for an e-mail from the First Nighters on how to sign up for a time. We are so grateful to this parent group for all their support, and especially for our awesome senior class!
We are in the process of planning the YHS Spring concerts. When we have details of what the concerts will look like, and when/where they will happen, Ms. Kluga will share them here.
Ms. Kluga looks forward to working with you all, in person, on Thursday 4/29 from 2-3pm. Please arrive by 1:50. Bring your signed attestation. The link for the attestation form is here.
Be sure to work with A-ccompany this week. Your HW assignment is posted on Dashboard.

Many thanks to the 27 students who participated in Saturday’s performance at the Varsity Football game. Your support really meant a lot to the team, and to our community. And, it was fun to spend the evening together playing fun music! Photos attached.
Shout out to our awesome Band Officers and band parents for donating snacks to share – thank you!

Scores will be available in a few weeks…but please don’t allow that number to define your experience. I’ve heard so much improvement in each of you – you have learned how to practice efficiently, meticulously, and have grown as a musician. THAT is the real value of this experience. Be proud!
